Gingerbread Waffles

1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 Tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1-1/3 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup molasses

Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Spray with non-stick spray or brush with oil.

Combine flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, ginger, salt and allspice in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and whisk together with milk, oil and molasses.

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the egg mixture. Stir just until combined and spoon onto prepared waffle iron. Cook until the steaming stops.
