Cabbage Soup
1 lb ground beef
1 small head cabbage
1 package onion soup mix
2 qts water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
3 Tbs minced parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
In a small stockpot, brown ground beef and drain well. Meanwhile, julienne cabbage into 1/4-inch strips and set aside.
Return meat to the stockpot and add water and soup mix. Stir until soup mix is dissolved, then add all remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 2 hours.
